Cpl. Peters Dear Campus Community, I am sorry that my first email to you is that of sorrow. The Greenbelt Police Department has lost one of their own. Cpl. Christine Peters was critically injured while investigating a vehicle crash on Edmonston Road near Sunnyside Road on January 2, 2021. While Cpl. Peters was on foot, she was struck by a passing vehicle.

UMD Safety Notice 11/19/2020
INCIDENT: Multiple Thefts from Autos OCCURRED: Between November 10 and November 18, 2020 LOCATION: Parking Lot at UMD Golf Course UMPD CASE Numbers: 2020-82701, 81860, and 80671 BRIEF DETAILS: Between November 10 and November 18, 2020, the University of Maryland Police Department received three reports of thefts from autos. All of the incidents occurred in the parking lot at the UMD Golf Course, during the daytime. In total, there were four vehicles that sustained window damage. Property was taken from all four vehicles. The University of Maryland Police Department, Criminal Investigations Unit is investigating this incident.
