UMD Safety Notice - Indecent Exposure

INCIDENT:    Indecent Exposure

OCCURRED: May 14, 2017/ Approximately 7:17 a.m.

LOCATION: Parking Lot W (Between Marie Mount Hall and Skinner Building)

UMPD CASE #: 2017-29531



On May 14, 2017, at approximately 7:17 a.m., the University of Maryland Police Department was notified of an indecent exposure. A female was sitting inside her vehicle when a naked male approached her vehicle and attempted to engage in conversation. The male then fled towards the McKeldin Mall area.


Minutes later, the same male approached another female by the fountain on McKeldin Mall and engaged in conversation. The male then left towards the Washington Quad area. A video review of our cameras in the area is currently under way.

The University of Maryland Police Department, Criminal Investigations Unit is conducting an investigation. Individuals with any information regarding this incident are encouraged to contact police at 301-405-3555.
