UMD Members Recognized at 37th Annual Governor's Crime Prevention Awards

Congratulations to members of our Security Operations Center and the Director of the Office of Community Engagement at the University of Maryland. They were recognized at the 37th Annual Governor's Crime Prevention Awards ceremony yesterday. They were each presented with the Governor’s Crime Prevention Award (for Community Groups, Organizations, and Individual Citizens) for their outstanding contributions to the furtherance of crime prevention in our community.

The University of Maryland Police Department was also recognized and presented with the Governor’s Crime Preventions Award (for Law Enforcement Agencies) and the Governor’s Crime Preventions Award for Outstanding Proactive Crime Prevention Programs in Maryland (Walk Smart College Park). None of this would have be possible had it not been for our partners at the Maryland State Highway Administration, the University of Maryland, the City of College Park, MD, and our community. Thank you for your continued effort.
