INCIDENT:                 Indecent Exposure

   

OCCURRED:              April 27, 2026 (Monday)/ Between 2:30 p.m. and 2:33 p.m.

 

LOCATION:                McKeldin Library, UMD, College Park, Maryland 20742

 

UMPD CASE #:          2026-113073

 

BRIEF DETAILS:

 

On April 27, 2026, at approximately 2:48 p.m., the University of Maryland Police Department (UMPD) received a report of suspicious activity that occurred between 2:30 p.m. and 2:33 p.m., on April 27, 2026, at McKeldin Library.

 

The reporting person told police that an unknown person came to the front desk and reported an attempted indecent exposure that occurred in a 6th floor restroom. After the unknown person reported the incident, they left the area, without providing their contact information.

 

On April 27, 2026, at approximately 7:35 p.m., UMPD received notification from the unknown person, who is a student. The student reported that he was inside a restroom stall on the 6th floor. The suspect was in the next stall and exposed himself.

 

Based on the information from the victim, this incident was re-classified to an Indecent Exposure.

 

A video review of the cameras in the area is underway.
