INCIDENT: Residential Burglary

BRIEF DETAILS:
On September 15, 2025, at approximately 4:01 p.m., the University of Maryland Police Department was notified about a residential burglary that occurred on September 12, 2025, at approximately 5 a.m., inside a Leonardtown apartment.
A woman (student) resident reported to police that she was woken up by a man not known to her, who touched her leg. The resident saw a white, college aged man, wearing khaki shorts and no shirt on, standing inside her room. The man walked away and faced the closet for a few minutes and then exited the apartment. No words were exchanged between the resident and the suspect. Nothing appeared to be stolen from the residence.
The University of Maryland Police Department, Criminal Investigations Unit is investigating this incident. Officers have increased their patrols of the Leonardtown Community.
